preface
The Global Innovative Design Competition is a newly established international event under the Aladdin Lighting Award. With "Global Vision" as its core philosophy, it focuses on the cross-disciplinary integration of artificial intelligence and lighting technology, committed to building a high-end international competition platform that combines cutting-edge technology, artistic expression, and industrial implementation.
This year's competition innovatively features two parallel tracks—the AIGC Lighting Design Competition and the Cultural Tourism Planning Competition. It aims to discover a new generation of design and planning leaders with forward-looking vision and technological integration capabilities, promoting the lighting and cultural tourism industries toward digitalization, intelligence, and human-centric development. The goal is to guide the global design and cultural tourism sectors toward a more innovative and sustainable future.
This track will focus on the innovative application of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in the field of lighting design. Participants are required to utilize AIGC tools to achieve breakthroughs in areas such as luminaire design, light environment planning, and lighting art expression.
This track emphasizes the integration of lighting technology with cultural tourism scenarios. Participants are tasked with designing forward-looking and implementable lighting art implementation plans based on specific cultural tourism contexts.
The competition adopts a "4+1" zone system, establishing four major sub-competition zones in the Southern, Eastern, Western, and Northern regions, with the finalists converging at the Guangzhou Guangya Lighting Exhibition for the ultimate showdown. The event invites a panel of professional judges comprising globally renowned designers, industry experts, academic scholars, national-level cultural tourism directors, as well as pioneering organizations such as design agencies, research institutes, engineering units, and property owners. This ensures a dual perspective of academic and industrial standards. The competition aims to build a sustainable innovation ecosystem, connecting creativity, technology, industry, and the market, enabling outstanding talents and projects to gain continuous growth momentum on this platform and establishing itself as an innovation benchmark for the global lighting and cultural tourism industries.
Award Settings
Competition Structure: The competition employs a two-tier evaluation system comprising Regional Rounds and the National Grand Finals. During the Regional phase, four major zones—Southern, Eastern, Western, and Northern—conduct online evaluations for both competition categories: "AIGC Lighting Design" and "Cultural Tourism Planning." Each zone selects the top 3 participants per category to advance to the live Advancement Round. Through on-site judging, First, Second, and Third Prizes are awarded with cash rewards of RMB 3,000, RMB 2,000, and RMB 1,000 respectively. First Prize winners from each regional category qualify for the National Grand Finals. Additionally, a number of finalists per category in each zone will receive an "Award of Merit" with an honorary certificate.
In the National Grand Finals, one Champion per category is selected and awarded RMB 50,000. All other finalists receive RMB 2,000. According to award rules, the Champion is not eligible for any other tiered awards. Moreover, five outstanding participants in each category will be recognized as "Distinguished Designers" and presented with an honorary certificate.

*Submission Method: Submit personal information and works online via the official competition website. The competition is divided into two main categories: "AIGC Lighting Design" and "Cultural Tourism Planning." It follows an on-site competition format, structured in three stages: National Preliminary Screening, Regional Advancement Rounds, and the Grand Finals.
①National Preliminary Screening: Entries are accepted nationwide for both categories. The top 3 entries from each category in each regional division will advance.
Participants may enter the regional division corresponding to their province. The four regional divisions are as follows:
Southern Division: Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Fujian, Hunan, Jiangxi, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan
